- Notice how your thoughts create your feelings.
- Listen to how often you blame others.
- When you are upset say "I feel angry and it's okay."
- Remind yourself, "Whomever is in charge of my feelings is in charge of me.
- When you are upset you have a problem.
Composure: Living the values you want your child to develop
Breathe deeply and decide that you are going to stick with these exercises. Maintaining composure is an option you always have available to you. Even when you lose composure, in the next moment it can be yours again. You may feel ready to explode, but you can breathe deeply choose to stay calm and see the situation differently. Self control is a moment by moment decision. Remember discipline yourself first and your children second. Live the values you want your children to develop. It allows you and your child to live with integrity.

"Maintaining composure is an option you always have available to you." I needed this reminder today. Lately I have just been loosing it and not owning my own upset. Can I say I'm glad you are doing this and will be checking in often. I don't have time to type it out myself so thanks for posting it!!
I always have a problem when Im upset. :)
